Designed, constructed and installed for the Department of Primary Industries in 2004 this testing facility is one of 3 calorimeter chambers in the Southern hemisphere and the only double chamber built in the last 20 years.

The twin calorimeter chamber allows scientists to test the different effects that certain mixtures of feed have upon dairy cows in relation to:

• Methane gas emissions & how the ozone layer is effected due to these emissions
• Production of milk

Features:

• Custom made stainless steel sandwich panel construction insulated with grade 350 rockwool
• Fresh, recirculating, and discharge ducted air systems
• Air conditioning
• Internal lifting jig
• Barn style doors
• Access platform, handrail and stairway

Overall chamber dimensions:
4.7mtrs wide x 3.6mtrs high x 7mtrs long
